Welcome to the Charleston Library Society's Digital Library. A generous grant from the Bernard and Judy Cornwell Foundation in 2015 enabled the Charleston Library Society staff to purchase equipment and begin safely digitizing the Library's collection of rare books and manuscripts for preservation and online exhibition. These digital collections expand the Library Society's mission of conserving, preserving, exhibiting, sharing and expanding its collections. With the CLS Digital Library, we are able to improve access to and understanding of the Library Society's collections.
